Top 10 Most Asked Questions and Quincy, MA Appliance Repair FAQ
Most of our customers have a lot of questions about the home appliance repair process. In order to start serving you with professionalism and integrity, we have gathered together the top 10 most asked questions.
Do you have free estimates?
No, we do not offer free estimates. In our professional experience, the traditional appliance repair business model does not allow companies the ability to offer free estimates to customers. Comparing service companies based on service charges can be very misleading. The service charge is only ONE factor that makes up the grand total of the bill. The company with the lowest cost service charge could very well have the highest price for parts and labor, which could then make it the most expensive appliance repair business in the area. As an honest and transparent company we wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if we advertised “Free Estimates” if we truly weren’t offering free estimates to customers.
Are you licensed and insured?
The short answer is “yes.” We are insured but there is no such thing as being licensed for Appliance Repair in Rhode Island.
- So-and-So said they are an authorized repair company for ______. Are you authorized to repair ________?
Being an authorized repair company usually only means that the company does warranty work for a manufacturer, like Whirlpool. We do not do warranty work but our technicians are thoroughly trained to work on all appliances we offer repairs for. Not doing warranty work has no bearing on a company’s training and it does not preclude a technician from receiving the highest level of industry training.
What kind of appliances can your repairmen fix?
Our repairmen can fix a wide range of appliances. We concentrate on all major residential appliances such as refrigerators, freezers (chest and stand-up), dishwashers, garbage disposals (repair and replace), ranges, stoves (gas and electric), ovens (gas and electric), washers, dryers (gas and electric), stackable laundry units, and coin-operated units. Our technicians are used to working in a wide range of environments including pristine estates, beach condos, and single family homes.
- What brands do you repair?
We repair Whirlpool, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Kitchen-aid, LG, Samsung, Maytag, General Electric (GE), Estate, Electrolux, Levitra, Westinghouse, and more
- What appliances do you NOT repair?
We do NOT repair dehumidifiers, hairdryers, speakers, mixers, air conditioning (you need HVAC for this), hair straighteners, fans, waffle irons, blenders, food processors. Most small home appliances we do not repair due to the fact that it is not economical to fix. Believe it or not, in this day and age, many of these appliances can be purchased brand new for a cheaper price than they can be repaired. As an honest company, we wouldn’t feel right about taking a customer’s money for a repair on a machine that they could purchase brand new for less money.
- Do you provide a warranty on your work?
We do provide a warranty on any work that we perform.
- How long have you been in business?
We have been in business for over eight years.
- What are your hours? Do you charge more for weekends?
Our office hours are Monday – Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM and our service hours are Monday – Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. We do not have a surcharges for Saturday appointments, same day appointments, or for addresses which are far away from our main service areas .
